About the founder...

Doug Hundley has worked internationally for  over 25 years as both a university and high school educator. He is a published author and scholarship recipient in the field of performance studies and is a long-time external examiner for both the College Board and the  International Baccalaureate Organization.  He has directed competitive theater and dance programs at international schools throughout the world.

Hundley graduated with a BA in English Literature from the University of Georgia  and holds an MA and PhD in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of Exeter where he graduated with honors and was awarded an international grant to publish his doctoral thesis.  He holds professional certifications in secondary education, AP, IB and college counseling in both the US and UK and is an associate member of the following professional counseling associations: IECA, HECA and IACAC.

Hundley founded Encore after working for many years as an educator in one of Asia's most elite international schools where he saw a need for qualified college admissions counselors experienced in creative trajectories and international enrollment. His unique experience places him in the rare position to masterfully guide students in shaping and achieving their educational and professional goals.
