About the founder...

Thanks for visiting! I’ve spent over 25 years working internationally as a university and high school educator, and what’s always motivated me is helping students connect their passions with meaningful academic paths. Along the way, I’ve published work in performance studies, received scholarship recognition, and served as an external examiner for both the College Board and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization—roles that keep me closely connected to global education standards.

My academic journey started with a BA in English Literature from the University of Georgia, followed by an MA and PhD in Theater and Cultural Performance from the University of Exeter in the UK. I also hold certifications in secondary education, AP, IB, and college counseling in both the US and UK.

I started Encore after years of working with international students and creative thinkers who often felt overlooked in traditional college advising. My goal is to offer thoughtful, personalized guidance that helps each student feel seen and supported as they navigate their educational journey. It’s incredibly rewarding to help them discover what’s possible—and take the steps to get there.
